The 1001-Up.com team have now got a few podcasts under their belts since our first in May. We recently got together to talk about gratification in gaming after getting inspiration for the topic from an unlikely source: Kim Kardashian.
Kim, Phil, Ben, Kevin and Joel sat down last week to discuss gratification and video games. This topic started after we came across several articles regarding the Kim Kardashian: Hollywood app: one by a women’s lifestyle magazine proclaiming what we could learn from the game in terms of our lives and careers; then another showing all the hate Kim Kardashian received on Instagram after the app became unavailable for around twenty-four hours; and a final one by a writer who claimed to have spent almost $500 on in-game purchases.
